24 HOURS CURFEW ON KARU: ENG ABDULLAHI A. SULE VISITS THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA TO SEE THE LEVEL OF COMPLIANCE

The Executive Governor, Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A Sule was on a working visit to Karu local government area and was received by Hon. Samuel Akala Gajere, the Executive Chairman, Karu local government area, the Gateway to the FCT.

The Governor who was received at the Maraba boundary between Nasarawa State and FCT. The governor went to the local government area see the level of compliance to the 24 hours curfew imposed on the area by the state government.

Engr. A. A. Sule, the governor, call on the citizens residing within Karu local government area to obey the order by remaining in their various homes and keep social distancing while avoiding unnecessary activities that could expose them to the pandemic. He further said that government is set to distribute grains and other food items to the less privileged within the local government area from tomorrow Thursday 9th April, 2020. This is aimed at alleviating the hardship being incurred as result of the 24 hours curfew.

He cited the directive as a response to curbing the Covid-19 pandemic, the global health emergency, and that the decision to impose the curfew is in the overall/ best interest of the people.
